About
Who we are
devanooga is a community of developers, designers, sysadmins, hardware tinkerers, technology educators, and the people who work alongside them, based in and around Chattanooga, Tennessee.
We’re a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations to devanooga are tax-deductible in the United States.
What we do
- Slack is our primary chat. It’s where conversations happen day-to-day, where job opportunities are posted in
#opportunities, and where beginners ask questions in#truebeginners. - Forums for longer-form discussion that doesn’t fit in a Slack channel.
- Discord for our
#hacknightvoice and screenshare sessions. Ask in Slack’s#hacknightchannel for the current invite. - Hacknights are informal coworking/build sessions, currently online. We’re always looking for an in-person Chattanooga space if you know of one.
- Member projects showcase things our members build.
- Outreach lists members who offer discounted or free services to local nonprofits and charities.
- Radio Freqs is our amateur radio sub-club (callsign W3DEV).
Our values
devanooga is a member of the Electronic Frontier Alliance. We endorse free expression, security, privacy, creativity, and open access to knowledge.
We expect everyone in our spaces to follow our Code of Conduct. The short version: treat others the way you would want to be treated.
